help!! I have just done a mini audition which involved voice testing for Goodbye Little Dream..Ive passed this and now have the main audition next Thurs (5th april). my problem is the american accent. does Hope have a really strong accent? could i get away without it so long as my singing and acting skills are ok?

Don't use the accent for the audition, but practice it in case the casting directors ask to hear it.

As for how strong it is, I can't really tell you since I'm American. So it just sounds normal to me.

If you get cast as Hope, you'll probably have to use at least a slight accent. The Evelyn in my production uses a British accent, though it's absolutely terrible and he tries to talk in a voice lower than his actually is. But that just makes his character that much more comedic.
