Is there such a thing as attachable taps? (Taps that you can somehow attach to normal tennis shoes or jazz or character shoes.) Thanks for any info in advance!

I think there are shoes made specially for that purpose.

Thank you- but they are expensive.... that is why I was wondering if there were attachable taps. Like, if you already have a dance shoe (like a jazz shoe or a character shoe) can you buy taps that you can attach to the dance shoe you already have instead of buying a whole new tap shoe?

If you have character shoes, I think you can usually take them somewhere to get them attached. Someone's going to have to help me out on this one though, since I don't know the specifics, just that it can be done.

I got Capezios with attatchable taps for $20 on eBay.

Yes, but they are tricky to put on, so you'll need to take them to a cobbler.
