I'll say the Sharks, if only because of what the Jets try to do to Anita.
Though after first seeing the movie when I was ten, I did have a crush on Baby John, so if the gangs were real and I actually had to choose, that might sway me.

Is it really sad that my opinion would depend on who I'm playing? Like, I think my dream role in the show is Riff, BUT, I also wouldn't mind playing Bernardo. I dunno, could I pull off being Spanish? Be honest!

since i played Big Deal this past september, i am a JET all the way from my first cig. to my last dying day.
and to repond to Vanessa20 comment. i hated the rape scene also, especially because the girl who played Anita was really nice. I felt bad everytime we did it.

You could most definitely pull of Spanish, Jordan! (Although techincally, they're Puerto Rican my friend...  )
As for me, I'm a Shark through and through. But I've got to admit the Jets get so many awesome songs to do ("Cool", "Gee, Officer Krupke", etc.) and us Sharks get next to nothing. Not fair.

In the beggining I was all for the Sharks, but then my director cast me as a Jet.
I guess just cause I had to get into character, I started liking the Jet's more. The Sharks have fun accents, but the Jets just seem 'cooler' and have Gee Officer Krupke. Can't top that.
