Anyone else feel this way?

I absolutely love the music to this show. However, I think it's positively the most boring show I've ever seen. I saw it live and I couldn't wait to leave. And the movie is incredibly slow and dry. It's a good movie, I can tell, and I appreciate it for what it is...but I always want to turn it off and go play piano or something.

Am I the only one that feels this way?

I agree with you about the movie, but in the live show it's all up to the actor playing Tevye. If you have a good one the show is captivating, if you have a bad one it drags. It takes a really good actor as well as singer to carry this show. I have had the good fortune to see good ones play the role twice, and have seen one mediocre one. The show with the mediocre one was a snoozer.

I recently saw this show in London and the actor playing Tevye was absolutely flawless.
