Anyone done the "On Stage" seating at S.A.?I'm going to be in NY for one day only at the end of march and have been looking into seeing a matinee, land ooking into cheap tickets ( I can only see a show if it's less than $40 probably!) SO I don't know if my best bet is to buy crappy seats before I leave so I know I have tickets or try to do some sort of rush/lottery (and risk not seeing a show!)
All that aside (I'll take any advice on that as well!) I was looking into Spring Awakening tickets and they have some craziness about On Stage seating. Anyone done that? Is it worth the reduced ticket price? Is it fun/neat/cool or annoying?
Thanks!

The on stage seats make the whole spring awakening experience ten times better.
It's fun and a great view.

Now I've never seen the show, but this is some general knowledge I've picked up:
Basically if you have on-stage seats, you see the show from on stage sitting next to various members of the cast. While it sounds cool, I've heard from a few people that it's not recommended to see the show from on stage if it's your first time.

I saw it for the first time on stage and LOVED it. I was basically star struck with Johnny Gallagher sitting behind me...I'm pretty sure I stopped breathing.
The only thing is that I kept trying to figure out what the whole spectacle looked like from the front since I couldn't really tell from where I was sitting. I did think it was cool though because I felt like I was almost part of the cast. in some scenes the actors turn around (like in My Junk) and talk/make faces to the other actors on the sides. It's fun.
Also.. don't be alarmed. I was NOT expecting three random people to stand up randomly in the middle of a song with microphones and it honestly scared me half to death. ...didn't find out until later than they were the swings. I catch on really quickly, obviously/
