Anybody currently in or have been in

IM just curious if anybody out there are currently in or have been in EViTA. I am currently in the show and didnt fully like the OBC that much but now that I have gotten into singing the music I think the music is a ton fun. Anybody else have some fun experience to share?

I'm currentkly in EVITA (opening night tonight). I always loved the OBC. Well, actually it's the Los Angeles Recording of the OBC but who cares?

The only thing I don't like is how the drums sound. They sound like they're a child's drum kit. There's no OOOOMPH to them at all. Also, the entire orchestra could have been mixed better.

Anyway, I always loved the recording. Have fun in the show. It's great!

Break a Leg jcstar! Very Happy

I stage managed Evita. Does that count?

Here's my random Evita story from a dress rehearsal. During the final scene the coffin is brought out, and the half-lid is opened to reveal the embalmed Evita. The actress playing Evita is of course "dead" under a sheet on another part of the stage. On this particular evening, the actors put the coffin on the stands upside down, so when the lid was opened... we saw feet. It pretty much brought rehearsal to a stop with laughing, especially when the Evita under the sheet whispered into her live mic "what's everybody laughting at?"

First weekend completely sold out.

I play 16 roles a night (I'm a swing). Opening night; In "Goodnight And Thank You", I tripped over the bed as I made my entrance and fell flat on my face. I almost lost my wig.

We have two more weekends to go and they're almost sold out as well.

ah yes. I love all the differant roles that come with being in evita. Its awesome that your shows are selling out. Have alot of fun and break a leg the rest of the weeks. I have no stroys yet except we had our first run through of the whole show on friday and we are 5 weeks away from opening. of course we have a ton of polishing to do but I think its the first I have ever been in where the whole thing is blocked 5 weeks away from opening. Crazy stuff.
