Hey guys,

I am playing piano for a production of "Into the Woods" and I just received my scores (the piano book and piano/conductor's scores are quite hefty!) I was just wondering if anyone here has played piano for ItW?

I've played Sondheim before ("Putting it Together") so I know how challenging it can be, but the ItW score (esp. the conductor's score) looks pretty overwhelming.

Would anyone have any tips on digesting everything and getting things into your fingers? I would imagine the Openings and Finales would have similar material. How about everything in between?

They are a lot to digest. But it is a great feeling after you have played through the whole thing in rehearsal. I don't quite understand what you're asking though so if you could go more in depth I would gladly give some suggestions.
