Any questions about the rolls for Elphaba and Galinda?

I have actually played Galinda and Elphaba. (not both at once!) They were both fun roles. I was wondering if anyone had questions for me about any of the roles. I would be so glad to answer them! Very Happy

Eh?

NO YOU DIDN'T. NO ONE HAS EVER PLAYED BOTH THE CHARACTERS UNLESS YOU DONE IT AT SCHOOL IN SOME SORT OF ILEGAL WAY.

I must keep my temper and stop shouting.

Can you butter these rolls?

Are you sure that there has never been an understudy who did both? Why shout down the newbie before you get a chance to know her? I am happy to get to know her and to understand her experiences. She could well become a valued member of our community here. Remember, Lea Salonga was doubted and ridiculed when she first came here. Jordan had to eat crow over that one.
wicked_boy

There's been no uderstudy to any either, according to my research.

My right pinky hurts after a day of computering, (don't know what to call it) from pushing the shift button too much.

A) That was Jordan being Jordan, though. *shrugs*
B) Wicked_Boy is right. I checked her profile, which says that she is turning 17 in July.

^ Good thinking Batman.

HA! missElphaba1214, you've just made yourself look an insy bit silly.
SuperKabob

*AHEM*

I called troll after her second post.

Just saying.

(edit: Yeah, so I know she's made three, but it was like, two days ago.)
mastachen

And I brought up the Lea Salonga comparison after Rachel called troll.

Apparently, I was wrong and she was right...
Kerry_ROCKS!

Ok, i may be considered a forum retard, but what does 'troll' mean?

A person who is lying about their identity, usually not very well.

Are you talking about a school or community production?

School
missElphaba1214

I like ur icon! Go West Side Story!
missElphaba1214

The reason I didn't get Elphaba this year was because I got it 2 years in a row and they thought it was unfair. Crying or Very sad But, I've always thought Glinda was a fun role and the Bubble is way less scarier than the lifter for flying during "defying gravity"!
missElphaba1214

So does anyone have questions for me or what?
Catherine

So, why did you school do Wicked 2 years after it had already been done? I think people would be sick of it tbh.

I'm still thinking troll....

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but if that's the case, then I am pretty sure it's very illegal, and you might want to talk to your director about it.

wicked_boy

You did it illegally.

We don't want to know. This is a message board for legal things.

No high school in LA have been doing Wicked for the last 3 years.

Think about it people, that means that they would've obtained the rights ONE YEAR after the show came out.

How does THAT make sense?

It doesn't make sense.

The new person is lieing, or they did it ilegally.
mastachen

Lying.

Remember, there's also an LA production going on right now. If any high school was doing Wicked in the region, word would really get around.
SuperKabob

HEY EVERYBODY!

Its a troll...why are we still proving the point?

Amy_Vocalist

I have a question....

How the hell does your school have the stage space, and fly space for the bubble and lift?

My guess is this person is singing "Popular" in the talent show this year, and the last 2 years sang "Defying Gravity"

missElphaba1214

Guys, it's a school tradition and I'm not lying. Please stop making fun of me. I am crying! And our school theater is real cheap and we don't have very good suppilies for the bubble and the flying thing is just one of thos machines that go up and down. But please stop! Every time I check, there's no questions, only insults! I'm just a kid, I don't need this crap! Sad

We're generally rather nice people here, but what you're saying is absurd.
GlindaGirl45

Guys! Stop it, she IS just a kid. My school did Wicked 2 times. 1st time, I was an Ozian, 2nd time, (this year) I'm Glinda. We are quitting Wicked, but next year we will do Peter Pan, (I hope I get the part of Peter!). Stop being mean to her, it's mean. Just for her sake, I will ask a question. Is being in the bubble the same as "flying"? Very Happy
Eponine_Thénardier_08

OK I have a question If this even really happened (And I'm not trying to be mean) But why is you school illegally doing the show you guys could get into some serious trouble for that.
missElphaba1214

Um, no for GlindaGirl45, the bubble was more fake. And it is not illegal! It's called a fricking school play! STOP IT! U R BEING MEAN!
Joshua

missElphaba1214 wrote:

It IS illegal. It doesn't matter if it's a school play or not. (btw, it's a musical, not a play.) IT IS FREAKING ILLEGAL. YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHTS TO DO IT. YOU HAVE TO HAVE PERFORMANCE RIGHTS. THEY HAVEN'T RELEASED THE RIGHTS. YOU'RE DOING THIS SHOW ILLEGALLY.

I thank you for your time.

Okay I am not being mean Please do not yell at me online I asked very politely and even if it is "a fricking school play" you need a license to do it but whatever if you want to keep yelling at people on here just be prepared to maybe be yelled back at.
GlindaGirl45

A lot of schools have done it, look on Youtube. But, I have a question. Did u like Elphie or G(a)linda more?

Not to mention there are plenty people younger than you here.

Rach, I think this glindagirl45 is just misselphie on another account so that she can humor herself.

I thought that, too. This whole thread is just...random. And pointless.

Somebody email the mods and get these trolls banned.

I already did that once this week and I don't feel like doing so again.
