Any parts for 23 year old guys?I want to say first off... I am not a big "Sound of Music" fan. Infact, almost all Rodgers and Hammerstein stuff--with the exception of "Oklahoma!" and "The King and I" I just dont get into. And I didnt like "Oklahoma!" until, I was in it. So I am thinking, if I am in "The Sound of Music" maybe I will learn to like it, the way I liked "Oklahoma!" at the end of the show.
But the real question is, is there any parts for 23 year old guys in the show? I cant remember, and since I am not a R&H fan, I havent seen "The Sound of Music" in a long time.
So are there????

well I am a Rodgers and Hammerstien fan and I HATE the sound of music.
only 3 good roles..Max,Elsa and Herr Zeller. and you arent feamle for Elsa or old enough for Max or Zeller.

Well, I love Sound of Music, and I say go for Rolf if you're willing to play a seventeen year old and look young enough to pull it off. You might end up having a lot of fun (being in Sound of Music is what made me love it - I was only passingly fond of it before )

but Rolf is one of the worst roles in the show and gets stuck with one of the sappiest songs. LOL

Actually, in the most recent production I did, our Herr Zeller was only about 25, and played him as a younger man. I know it's not traditional, but he made it work really well.
And yeah, there's always Rolf ... :-&

If not the parts above ^, one of the soldiers. Rolf or a soldier would be the best bet. (if you look younger than you are, for Rolf)

But its one of the most famous/popular and therefore if you do it right, you get SO MUCH applause.

Erm, I believe he is 13. There aren't too many 24 year-olds who can pass for 13.
