that's a hard one most of the musicals that are well know have larger casts and are mainly male dominated. You could try something like
- Nunsense which is 5 women and 1 male, but one of them has to be a really storng dancer (ballet preferablly on toe)
- Bye Bye Birdie is a pretty reasonable sized cast but you need at least 2 strong males who can sing and dance and 2 or 3 strong women who can sing and dance. The rest is chorus parts. Ideally it is done by a high school or community theater becasue of the realitvly easy sets and props.
- Grease may be another one that you want to try but that requires a larger cast but it's great for high school and community theater audiences and it is pretty well known Kineckie and Rizzo are the two main leads in the stage version not Sandy and Danny although they are considered main roles. There are 5 male "leads" and 5 female "leads" there are also several supprting roles and a chorus. The dancing isn't to hard and it doesn't require a big budget. The only thing that you would really need to rehearse are the big dance sequences, one at "the dance" and the other at the end of the show.
Those are the ones that I can think of right now anyway. I'll try and post back if Ihave anymore.
