Macavity's "Death" took place so the series of TJC could come to an ending. A long while back, Ahdeya, Rio and I came up with a reason for Macavity's "powers" - a Darkness entity. This gave Macavity strength and recuperative powers and accented his levitation ability. The Darkness threatened the ability of the Tribe to start the Return - the journey off-world. In order to defeat the Darkness, Macavity had to "die". Because the possession was by "contract", the entity had to "heal" his death, but after doing so, it was free of him, and able to go after another target - Nightchaser...

Blame Rio for the actual death scene - Phoenix was one of her 'dahling' characters, and the point around which this part of the storyline pivoted...

Ahhh, I really should read more of these, now Macavity's death is quite a spoiler (lol no offense Rumblepurr, I'll have to read to find out more!!!)

I really love how Michaela is able to make hair actually look so great on "cats" characters, and how human they look. It's something I really find interesting and unique. Two thumbs up!
