My high school is doing a small scale summer dinner theater production this year and we've decided on You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. I'm thinking of going for Linus....maybe Schroeder (sp?). We have to sing part of a song for whatever character we think we want, so I told my director Linus. So, I have to sing part of his song (not sure what part of which song) and I have to act in character. So.....any advice on the character at all....singing style, movements, etc. would be enormously helpful! Thanks.

I guess what would help most is to get ahold of the songs he sings, like the new broadways cd thats out, just to give u an idea. He has his whole "My blanket and me" song, and then he sings in the song "Book Report" that really shows his intellectual character. Good luck =)

Howdy! I was just linus and I loved being him

If i had to choose a part of any song to sing as linus i would sing blanket from "it's a cozy santuary (after 'silly little blanket')..." to "i thought i could do it", then cut the musical interlude to "It's foolish... I know it..."

^LoL if that made any sense... or is even possible...

Hey everyone.....thanks for the advice. We had auditions wednesday, and even though I stumbled through 'My Blanket and Me' I got the part. I was so excited! It was between me and a friend of mine for the part (he ended up getting Charlie Brown) I could have gone fo that one, but I like Linus better. Oh, and at the audition, my director had me suck my thumb to see if it was believable enough. lol
