Annie Jr.- Worth seeing?

There have been several threads regarding *auditioning* for this show, but I'm wondering if it's worth seeing, just for fun? I have the option of seeing a local middle school production, but I wanted to hear some opinions from some of you to see if it was worth seeing. Thanks!

I'd go see it. I think it's fun to go to local schools and watch their shows.

Yea! I'm sure its worth seeing! Annie is one of my favorite plays. I'm not sure about the junior version though...I'm not sure what they cut in it...

Don't waste your money. Going out to see Annie is bad enough, but Annie, Jr. is like forty times worse. Eek.

Hi,
I thought I'd add this in rather than starting up my own thread.
A group near me are putting on "Annie" next year - rehearsals start november-ish and my friend is thinking of auditioning (I will be too if I'm not travelling around south america Very Happy ) and a whole bunch of us are meant to be going to see "Annie" JR but my friend say its nothing like the actual show and people are going to be "put off" by it... how is it different to the full version? people are just trying to get an idea of what the show is like and what parts there are etc. If I do it I want to play Lily (I have only seen the film version and love Bernadette Peters)
Thanks!

There is a lot cut out of the original Annie script in Annie Jr. However, I was part of Annie Jr. last year and although it lacked a lot from the original it was still very entertaining. I guess it all depends on where you go see it and how well the cast preforms. Think
