Can anyone tell us about the young female characters? A professional company is going to be doing the show, so it will be adult.

Is Winnie usually played by an adult? We know Annie has several young sisters, do you know the age range? What is involved in their parts?

Winnie doesn't necessarily have to be an adult. I'd say she's fairly young, probably anywhere from 18-early twenties,but could be played by a teen who looks older, as she is Dolly Tate's younger sister.


I believe Annie's younger sisters are 9, 11 and 15. With Minnie being the oldest, then Jessie and then Nellie...I think...I did this production about 7 years ago so I don't remember exactly, but those ages sound pretty much right.

The kids basically follow Annie around pretty much everywhere, they sing (and may dance depending on director's wishes) in Doin What Comes Naturally and also sing a little in Moonshine Lullaby (Annie is putting them to bed). They all have a few lines here and there. Our kids were also in the scene for I Got The SUn In The Morning dancing with the other party guests, as Annie had brought them to the party.
