On My Own is a great song but its too adult for Annie. The emotions are all wrong.
You need something that shows youth and vitality not unrequietd love [in my opinion].
If you're good enough to win a talent show then you should be able to learn something that's more appropriate. Is there anything from Gypsy that might be any good? I don't know the show well but it might have something.
I'm sure people here will help.

What role are you trying to get and how old are you? Both of those really effect the appropriatness (sp?) of the audition song.

well, theres a lot of competition so im not expecting more than an orphan. I recently turned twelve, i'm 4'10, and i weigh 98 pounds.

Here are some possibilities:
In My Own Little Corner (from Cinderella)
Anything's Possible (from Seussical)*
Those are the only two that I can think of at the moment.
*Even though this song is sung by a boy, girls often play this role in the show. I think both songs are fitting for your Annie audition because both characters can relate to the orphans in Annie.

Ummm.... mayeb something from Bye Bye Birdie? I know they are slightly older than the orphans, but you can still show youthfulness.
obvious but important advice: do NOT sing "Tomorrow"!!

Do not sing anything from any of the top 10 highest-grossing Broadway shows.

I am also a belter. Try "You Can Always Count on Me" from [/u]City of Angels. It's a great upbeat, fun song. Break a leg!
