Ok, she was pretty. What did she actually do in terms of entertainment?
I have no respect for her because of that thing with the old guy. While I feel for her parents and her family, especially her little daughter, my sympathy to Anna herself is limited. I feel terrible saying something like this about someone who died, but I doubt her loss is going to greatly effect the world. She's probably better off in heaven or wherever she is now. Anna Nicole's fate is probably the fate of a bunch of young starlets in Hollywood. I really hope Paris, Lindsay, Brittany, ect. learn from it before they meet the same fate. Not out of any particular respect for them, but for their parents. |

I dunno...I'm not entirely surprised it happened...I mean, her son recently committed suicide, she just had a baby, she just got married, she's been part of a legal struggle for awhile, etc. That had to have been weighing heavily on her. It's a lot to go through.

I feel very sorry for her daughter, because she's probably going to end up growing up in a foster home and not even realizing who her mother is, unless her real father steps forward. And even if she does grow up knowing who her mother is, by the time she reaches her teens she is going to realize her mom didn't exactly have the best reputation... | ||||

Her mother is still alive? Her parents have my greatest sympathy. To have a daughter grow up like that must be unthinkable. Although, it's hard to believe that people like that are even real, even have mothers and fathers.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is why we don't become playbill models. If anyone here models as a way to earn money or as an acting exercise, I don't blame you. Just don't do anything that you are uncomfortable with, don't try to be too thin and don't do drugs. I just have a thing against the modeling industry because I think it's bull, pure and simple. It's not real. |

Her death makes me even sadder when I think about what she used to be when she was first a Guess jeans model - she was SO beautiful. Do you remember that old commercial where she's dancing on a table? I don't know what age I was when I saw that commercial, but I remember thinking, holy shit I want to look like that when I grow up. Then we heard her talk and watched her behavior and she became a little less attractive... but she was a knockout once upon a time. | ||||

That's the thing about Anna Nicole, MaryMag. She was beautiful on the outside but from what I know about the thing with the old man, not so pretty on the inside. And that's what a lot of models and beautiful women are- godly on the outside but pure evil on the inside. Guys go gaga over them anyway, everyone wants to worship them. If everyone in the world was blind Anna Nicole Smith would be NOTHING. And she would still be alive. |

No joke, I walked back into my computer room after my homepage had loaded, I saw the picture, and thought, I bet she died today.
I truly hope that Lindsay, Britney, Paris, Nicole, and the rest of the party crowd take a good hard look at what she did with her life, and get it together. |

She died at like 1:42 and at 1:43, my friend Charlotte turned around in math class and said to me: "Anna Nicole Smith just died" Within a minute. It took CNN 4 minutes to post a paragraph on it. |

Its still sad either way you look at it. I mean we all comment about her life and her life choices, but ultimately something makes a person that way and its usually never a pleasant thing. My dad mentioned something about her being a meth user in the past or maybe she still was. He thinks if it wasn't an overdose on that, just the effects of being a long time drug user and all the stress with the death of her son and giving birth 5 months ago and then the paternity battle.
As for her baby going to a foster home, my dad also mentioned something about her sister having custody of Smith's daughter for the time being. There would have been no way her baby would have went into a foster home, considering that it supposedly has two men claiming to be the father. A simple paternity test, which is going to happen now according to what I read on my netscape page, will begin to determine who receives custody of the baby. Until then it will stay with family, as Smith's family is quite extensive I do believe. |

WOW! YOu really are being very very negative about Anna Nicole Smith. First off, you do not knwo her. Yes, obviosuly she had problems and issues, but you do not knwo what her insides were like. For all you know, she married that man for love.
I do think there is a lot fo stress on being thin right now, but by your obvious hatred for the world of modeling and beautiful women, I assume you must be lacking in the looks department. You are making some horrible stereotype judgements. Yes we have teh Lindsatys, Pariss, Brittanys, and they are always talked about because of the shit they do, but for everyone of them, there are tons of great, moral-filled ones. YEs there was a time she was much morew put together, but YOU have no idea what may have happened to lead her to her life decisions. It is easy fo ryou to judge all you want. But I think the best thing to do when someoen passes away, is just give her peace on her passing. She is not Hitler, she did not harm the world. Wouldn't it be awful if you passed away, and here everyoen was saying all these awful things about you, people who did not knwo you. And yes, I knwo being a celebrity, that is part of it. But come on, she is dead, no reason to trash talk her now. All concerns shoudl be with that baby. And EPONINE- I knwo lots of gorgeous women who are just as pretty inside and out, so put down the twinkies honey and maybe someday you can be a model too. |

I would never be a model. I'll be upfront with you guys. I have a pretty nice body. I work out. I watch what I eat. I have acne and probably will one day end up with scarring skin cancer inherited from my father and grandfather. But I don't want to be a model. If Anna Nicole wasn't pretty, she probably would be a nice, normal person who was still alive. I think the modeling industry is fake and not just because of the being thin part. It's the idea that because someone's pretty, people will go out and buy the clothes. I don't support fashion in general, because I think its one big ploy for people to get our money, but I really think modeling is stupid. If I ever ran the marketing department for a designer, I would probably take print ad pictures of regular people who brought the clothes at stores. I've seen people who are not considered pretty because they're not thin wear clothes a lot better than I've seen models. But for Shadowdancer to call me ugly, that was just mean. I don't know what you look like. You don't know what I look like. And sometimes I think my soul is ugly. That I could probably agree with you on. I get called ugly enough times in real life. That's why I like the internet. No one judges you for how you look. And you've pretty much ruined that part for me. |

I'm glad someone finally said something. I've been avoiding this thread because I've actually been a bit, well I'm not sure how to describe it, but I guess dissappointed in all the slagging here. I don't like it when people are so judgemental. Yes the woman made choices in her life that didn't make her popular, maybe she was a bad person, but to be honest no amount of media coverage and reality tv is going to really show the true person. She's dead now, leave her be. | ||||

Rest in peace. I can't say I was surprised given the way her life has been especially lately, but hey, she's maybe in a better place now. Good for her.
Actor- I think she was drunk in that clip, or otherwise impaired. But usually she wasn't ALL that different, but I don't remember her slurring her words like that all the time. She had a reality show on for a while. It was...amusing. |

In fairness, I watched that clip and although she might have been 'drunk' or 'impaired' it was an impression she wanted to give out. She said 'freakin' instead of 'f*****g' because she knew what she could and could not say on TV. I think it's sad that someone should have to portray an 'image' to get attention rather than rely on any talents they have. This applies to anyone, not just the lady in question. |

I feel very bad for her and always did. Not only was she beautiful but at the time of her Guess clothing campaign she was one of the most beautiful women in the world. Just look at her:
I was at a nightclub here in NYC about 2 years ago and she was there. I had a very short convo with her and she was def on drugs but she was very very sweet. In fact, it seems anyone who ever worked or knew her say she was a very nice person, she just had a drug problem. I have to say that it really bothers me when people come down on other with drug problems. It is not an easy thing to give up. We have seen hundreds of very talented people die by the hands of drugs. Some of you here are quick to judge a dead woman. That's sad. As far as I know she never did anything to anyone here. She was a woman obviously very troubled and worst of all she seems to have been exploited by the people she came to trust the most. This is a very sad woman who lived an even sadder life. I hope she is at peace wherever she is. To me she will always be that guess girl. So beautiful!! |

never found her beautiful...but i am sad the way that life treated her. I also very sad that so much space has been devoted to a model tuened reality t.v. star when a brillaint actor like Ian Richardson died the same day and didnt get half the coverage. Richardson was a powerhouse in theatre and film. | ||||
