I can never tell the difference.

It depends entirely on the actor in the role. There are a few actors I liked as Andre more than the actor opposite them as Firmin. However, there are several Firmin actors I liked as well. Neither character is a favorite of mine in the show anyhow.

Good, at least I'm not alone. I love them together but I can't say "Oh, that's Firmin singing now." I just know the 2 Managers are singing.

I've seen more superb Firmins than Andrés, so I'd go for Monsieur Firmin. Though I like the slightly nevrotic André quite well too.

I never know which one is which either. I like the one that wears the skeleton suit to the masquerade ball

Yeah, he's hilarious. It must be hard to do that, because it's almost like he's dancing up there naked, what with his costume being just his bones and all.

Truthfully, if it comes down to it, I can't choose one. I have very odd veiws on who the managers are and therefore can't really pick. I DO love D.C. Anderson's Andre. I have to say, if its him in it?, ANDRE hands down. But Bruce Winant completed it with an amazing Firmin played perfectly opposite Andre. So I think they need eachother to be great.

Well, as a pair, they do compliment each other nicely. But I have to say I really loved Jeff Keller as Firmin. Especially his deadpan "We need you, too" to Carlotta. And the nights when he'd forget to remove his diamond earring.

Firmin is my favorite. He gets the more comical moments out of the pair of them... "And what is it that we're meant to have wrote. [pause]... Written." lol makes me chuckle every time.

Firmin is the business manager, Andre the artistic manager.
both are great roles best roles in the show.

They are excelent! I personally like Andre a bit better. Which one is the one who usually is more grouchy? They are kinda the comic ones of the shows. Carlotta as well!

I like Andre better. I don't know why.

I like Firmin. It kinda bothered me that in the movie he wasn't as deadpan and sarcastic as he is in the show. I agree- "We need you too" that is so funny. Ya, I like them both, but Firmin is the best.

You took the words right out of my mouth! Michael McCoy is also an excellent Firmin opposite D.C.

I was going to comment but then I realized I was thinking of Roger DeBris and Carmen Ghia. Close enough.
