The edges of the people don't look right. I can't zoom in enough to confirm, but this one just doesn't look right.

The photographer probably just popped the actor a bit, and fixed the fog around his feet. Actors in motion, push fog around. It doesn't hang in place. Even if I assume the shot was taken at a photo call and the actor held that pose still, the fog wouldn't look like that. I find it distracting.

But I'm really off-base here anyway. That looks like a gorgeous production, regardless of any photo manipulation.

I think you will find it is more likely a lighting trick than a photography trick, behind the beast are several flat, flats lit form teh side, and he is being lit directly from the top. The smoke i think is more likely a case of perspective, the smoke is in front and behind his feet but he is not actually standing in it...
ILoveToSing2010

they look fine to me

I can! It's on the castle doors and is facing us.
Chevstriss

I'm betting its a lion face door knocker, pretty common. the "LEGs" you see are some kinda shadow
theatre_grl

i think it looks more like a bear than a cow
The Drama Queen

Its some sort of door knocker with the Beast's shadow being cast upon it. I thought it was some sort of human/cow thing Shocked

Amateur or not, it was a RICH, EXPENSIVE amateur production. Looks Broadway quality if you ask me. Shocked Applause
