I take it you don't have a singing teacher. Very Happy

Soprano, alto, etc. are terms used to decribe a singers full range and/or strongest range.

Soprano: female; highest voice
Mezzo-Soprano: female; middle voice
Alto: female; lower voice

Tenor: male; highest voice
Baritone: male; middle voice
Bass: male; lowest voice

Note: High, middle, and low refer to the given gender; altos sing higher then baritones even though altos are "low" and baritones are "middle".

I hope this answers your question. Very Happy

Yeah, I knew they were vocal ranges, but I had no idea what order they went in. I knew that Bass was the lowest and Soprano was the highest...We never really messed with parts when I did musical theater in high school (or, at least, I didn't. I wasn't much of a singer.) But after auditioning for some community theater shows, I learned pretty quickly that I needed to know!

even the worst vocal teacher knows what a soprano/alto/tenor or bass is.

you need to quit right now and find someone else.

i am actually looking for a different one because i really want to get into it, but i haven't found one yet

thanks for the help
