Alto Songs?Hi! I'm busy right now with other stuff but I'm looking at next year! So, I wanted to prepare two songs for any musical auditions I do next year. I want an uptempo and a ballad. I've been told by one of my musically-adept friends that I'm an Alto (I'll find out for sure tonight) and I was just wondering if you guys had any good ideas for songs.

How can you be either a tenor or a soprano and NOT know it?

OK, I figured out tonight I'm an Alto...I'm not good with the ranges.

I'm in the middle. I can't sing high real good, but I can't sing low real good either. My lowest note is probably a low C. My highest is probably high C.

I'm no music expert by any means, but if you're a male and an alto, i'm pretty sure that means you sing pretty freakin' high for a boy.

That seems about right...but I can go a bit lower...boy, I hate ranges...I'm just trying to figure out what I am, LOL.

How old are you 12-14? If so, it makes perfect sense that you are an alto. You're voice hasn't changed yet. I was a soprano/alto until I was in the 8th grade. That was the biggest change in my voice.

I can't tell you my exact age, but I'm a young teenager.
