Almost Heaven

Is anyone familiar with this production?

http://www.almostheavenonstage.com

"Almost Heaven: Songs of John Denver is a live musical experience that is breaking box office records from coast-to-coast by reinventing and reinvigorating the music you thought you knew ... like you’ve never heard before.

ALMOST HEAVEN weaves together the songs of John Denver to create a uniquelytheatrical narrative that reflects upon the country during the years in which he wrote them.

Twenty-nine of Denver's songs – including “Rocky Mountain High,” “Sunshine on My Shoulders,”“Annie’s Song,” “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” “Calypso” and more – are rediscovered and reinvented, performed against a backdrop of stunning visual images of America in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s,a time of social unrest and political protest.

ALMOST HEAVEN was originally conceived by Harold Thau with orchestrations, vocal arrangements, and music supervision by Jeff Waxman."

A Google search isn't turning up much about the production itself, such as ranges, roles, etc. I'm also not sure if this production is just a traveling group, or if they're doing open auditions at a local theatre it may be performed at next year. Regardless, I'd like more information on it.

I don't want to hear John Denver songs in a new way, I'm quite happy with the old way. Lets hope this show nosedives into oblivion...

I HATE SONG CYCLES!!!
