Ali Hakim's rangeWhat is Ali Hakim's vocal range? He's the one character in the show that I can't find a listing of his range anywhere. It doesn't have to be exact; just any help you can give me would be great!

I'd say yes. He kind of talk-sings. It's more about the character than the voice, and a lot of productions actually cut his number out.

ive never seen a production that cuts his song. except the film. cutting one of the best songs would be a crime.

I've seen two productions cut the song and unfortunately the production I'm in right now has cut it. I agree though, it's a crime.

Ali's vocal rangeHi Brian, greetings from Spain, where I will be playing Ali Hakim in November (my Will Parker days are sadly now over).
The reason that you can't find a vocal range, is that Ali does NOT SING.
He only has 1 musical number "It's an outrage", in which he speaks his lines, in strict tempo with the music.
A baritone voice would be ideal, but frankly as long as you have a good loud voice, you are home and dry. I hope this helps you; go for it!
