I was reading the script and I was wondering about something Jud says in the second scene in the first act. He is talking about the accident on te Bartlett farm. Is he talking about himself or not? He says 'A feller told me', but do I have to take that literally?

i beleive Jud is talking about himself... partly because of how he responds to laurey in act two (i beleive scene two) it isnt so hard to beleive that he destroyed the bartlett farm. it depends on how interpreted and presented in the version of this musical. I love this show. we are doing it at my school

The way we're doing it in ours (random side note: the guy who's playing Jud is SO creepy! ), he implies really strongly while just sort of staring menacingly at Curly. So, he doesn't exactly go out and say it but it's supposed to give you the impression that he's definitely talking about himself.
