A small warning to CATS fans...

Yeah, you're probably wondering: "Why the heck does she want to give us a warning about this wonderful musical?"

Well, it's not much, but I just want to say...Any of you who are planning on auditioning for CATS, keep this in mind: IT takes A LONG time to get over it when the shows long gone...I'm still not over my performance of CATS...After three months of rehearsals, it kinda gets to you.

So, that's all I have to say....Which means...Pretty much don't listen to me...I'm just some little crazed girl in this world who would still like to be a kitty...Oh! And one more thing! If anybody from my cast reads this...

I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!

Signed,

That person over there who misses her aler-ego, Electra,

It takes a little while to get over any role that you really enjoy. I know I had a time getting over my first role, Aunt Martha in Arsenic and Old Lace. Even working tech for a show you love is hard to get over... I cried when the run of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat I was Assitant Stage Manager for was over (I'm much more of a production person rather than performance).

Life goes on... and you'll always have those memories. So it all works out...

Yes, I too am guilty of crying at the end of a run of a show. I cried at the cast party of my first show "The Boyfriend" but I still see at lot of the cast and crew now-a-days at other auditions and stuff, so try not to grieve too hard fellow actors. Smile

There is something about Cats that keeps a performer going back for more, almost like, once they are in it then they will always be a part of it.

Why do you think we have so many wonderful performers (one of which posts here!) that go back and thrill the audiences over and over in the different productions?

It's part of what makes Cats so ineffable!

*hugs all the jellicles missing their junkyards*
