I know, I know- there is an audition thread. But I sometimes find it to be too general and as this is a Sondheim show that I am really not familar with, I thought that I would get more in depth info here. I have researched this on the net and everything, but my computer isn't allowing me to listen to clips of the songs. I also couldn't find any info on the character's ages. I figured that Anne is probably early 20s and Desiree is probably 40s or 50s. I am not sure about Petra- is she young or old? I am 25 years old but I am rather small and usually am taken for younger than my age. However, I am not normally type cast as ingenues. My range covers mezzo and soprano and I have a high belt... I am just starting the EMC program so I haven't joined equity yet, and the theatre is a big equity theatre in the area. So, if you could provide any info on smaller female roles, bit parts, and/or chorus I would greatly appreciate it! Please- don't send me to the abyss of the Audition Thread

When you said "high belt", I instantly thought "Petra". She has one of the geatest and most difficult songs in the show.
