A Capella or SATB Arrangements

Does anyone have any good a capella or SATB arrangements of musicals or popular songs, as pdf files, or able to be scanned? I'm wondering because my friends want to start a "guerilla barbershop" group, half comedy, half rockapella style a capella group. Other than the obvious choice of "for the longest time" (which we can't find a real arrangement of), we don't know what songs to do.

Does anybody have some music to share with us? It doesn't matter if it's SATB or TTBB or whatever, we'll arrange it amongst ourselves. Just so long as it has at least four parts and is either fun for us to sing or popular with the audience.

There was an amazing four part version of "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory... I don't own a copy, though.

i'm in an acapella group right now at my college, and i'm trying to get my group to do some showtunes too. right now we just arrange our own stuff from the actual music. but we are working on a version of "holding out for a hero" from footloose that i am arranging. but we actually do more popular stuff. i could possibly send you a coupld things we have.

It's not a capella, but we just finished with a fantastic arrangement of "Make Our Garden Grow".

On a slight aside, I have 210 songs from the well known A Capella band Rockapella. If you'd like an A Capella version of a well known song, tell me and I'll see if I have it.
Monsieur D'Arque

do you mean you have mp3s, or sheet music for them? because i have ALL the mp3s
olly

Oh, sorry. I have the mp3's. I have some sheet music of:

1. Can You Feel The Love Tonight?
2. Stand By Me.
3. For The Longest Time.
4. The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
5. Unchained Melody.
6. Under The Boardwalk
7. I Get Around.

I should have a few more, but I don't have my music to hand at present.
Monsieur D'Arque

email them to me, or megaupload them in a pack. my email address is on a button attached to this message.

Thanks for helping! i just sort of arranged Uptown Girl today from a band score of teh song, so having For The Longest Time and all those others will give our group more opportunities.

Thanks, and anyone else with a capella or choral satb popular or broadway music, please post it here!
olly

That's fine, but I won't be able to do it for a while - I'm very busy at the moment, and I'll have to do it at school for I don't have a scanner at home.
darora7

Can you email them to me also please? I would really appreciate it. My email is darora7@yahoo.com.

Thanks.
Monsieur D'Arque

If you have time before Saturday to at least scan For The Longest Time, that would be great, as I was looking for that one the most of all the ones you had. Thanks!
josephlyw

i would like to have them as well!
went to a Rockapella concert in Hong Kong recently and i'm now their biggest fan Very Happy i'm in my college's acapella group and we are seeking ttbb arrangements.. much appreciated

here's my email josephlyw@gmail.com
HortonDoody

Olly, would it be at all possible for you to e-mail me the sheet music for "unchained melody"? It would be greatly appreciated
silly_g00sey

i've transcribed Imogen Heap's Hide and Seek for a capella choir (very accuritely, i'm a complete perfectionist when it comes to this stuff), and I have it in MIDI format here (if you have finale or a similar program, you can import this into sheet music):

http://www.sendspace.com/file/3u8z0i

and the sheet music in NWC (Noteworthy Composer) format here:

ttp://www.sendspace.com/file/8pq0un

if you don't have noteworthy composer, you can download the program here:

olly!

can i have your entire rockapella sheet music collection? or at least the stand by me? i have been trying to get that sheet music for YEARS. please email to kimbyoknyon2002@yahoo.com. thank you SO MUCH.
Tumnus1031

Just so you guys know, if you visit sheetmusicplus.com, they have a cappella arrangements of pretty much everything.

But if you're really that interested in getting crappy scanned versions, I have:

-The Longest Time (it's TTBB but you easily change it to SATB)
-Stand By Me
-Drift Away
-Seasons of Love (its a really nice arrangement, actually)
-The Lion Sleeps Tonight

As well as many others. I don't have a scanner, though. Razz

"Stand By Me" - Rockapella

Does anyone have the arrangement of "Stand By Me" by Rockapella? A .pdf or midi file would be great!

Thanks!
Rorgg

I was in a quartet that did TTBB of "For the Longest Time" in college for a competition. This was many many moons ago, so I don't have the music any more, but IIRC, the studio album for that is 3 voice parts, and I essentially just doubled the bass instrumental line for the fourth part. There was almost no arranging required on our part.
