kev and i saw the show today....some comments:

loved me some robin givens....she's trashy and fabulous. her vocals aren't that hot, but DAMN girl can move...

hated amra-faye wright...send her back to south africa.

john o'hurley had ok vocals, but damn it was like he was in the john o'hurley show, no real character.

lillias white is a trainwreck. her acting is nonexistant, and her vocals well they weren't anything to get excited about. forgot lines in when you're good to mama.

r.lowe is still a fabulous mary sunshine.
the ensemble is still in top form - bryn being a total standout.

and wow donna marie is a mama understudy now, would love to see her go on.

ps - robin givens is a total sweetie at the stagedoor.

Ditto on Joe's comments.

None of the choreography was dumbed down for Robin, she was in total control and obviously loved being up there. REALLY refreshing and enjoyable.

John O'Hurley played himself. Lillias was a huge disappointment. Bruce Winant made for a good nap. and Amra was a let-down as well...she was all there technically, but was rather shrill with no spark.

No, no MAMB leaps but most Roxie's these days do not do the leaps. even the impeccable dancers. and the chemistry was fine between the two leading ladies.

and re: Wicked....basic jist is that we pissed off the lotto guy, he copped a 'tude, crumpled up our names, and t'was obvious we weren't gonna win. that's fine...we see Eden again in March, woot!

Amra was better than I thought she wud be whilst she was in Ldn! I mean, my friend saw her in the UK Tour and said she was crap, therefore I didn't have any expectations for her, that's maybe why she was rather great for me! And soz, but i just LOVE short blonde Velmas!
