We are doing this show as our Spring Musical (obviously)...and i just wanted to post my drawings for the sets....

at my HS we have a gymatorium with a concrete slab for a stage and no wings...we have to build an extension on the front of the concrete slab to give us some room...but we do the best we can...

let's hope the actual sets turn out that way....usually what happens is that we get pushed so far back and crunched for time by basketball season that we only get the gym for like a week....we have no space to call our (drama department) own...well except for the band/choral/drama room which is small and currently houses the platforms we built for Alice in Wonderland (which makes for a VERY crowded room)...b/c there was no other place to put them....which brings me back to these sets....it's my senior year so i want to go out with a bang....so i'm going to be hounding our drama/band/choral director to get them built the way they were drawn...haha wow this is a long post....but yeah i will definately post pics of the finished product.....oh and thanks for the compliment.....

I love the castle, it's very well designed. And the village has a clever designed to it too, I can't read the small print on the image, but I assume from the outline that the inside of the tavern is painted on the opposite side of the village set? A great idea! Especially for high schools who need to save money and space on stage where possible!

exactly....the middle piece from the town (the one with Tavern on it) comes out...and the reverse is the tavern...the reverse of the middle piece is the gate to the castle....your compliment it much appreciated....

After the drawing i originally posted, the castle went through several redesigns but i think it turned out better than expected...

here's a link to a video of the battle through the transformation...somehow the audio got a little messed up through the conversion process but it is still good...please feel free to comment on the video at youtube
