"Younger" songI have an audition coming up for the teen chorus of the Muny. I am the very oldest that i can possibly be to audition, and i want to prove that i can still play with in that age range. The problem is that we can only sing 8 measures. I'm thinking of singing part of "Ugly Boy" but the piece goes so fast that that 8 measures hardly starts to show my ability. Do you have any reccomendations?

8 Measures= 15 seconds of music...So I would do 15 seconds of an uptempo...that should work just fine...
If they insist that you do 8 measures of an uptempo, you probably don't want to be working with them, anyway...

I don't know about teens, I've done kids before though. At least for kids, there is no callback. You're in, or you're not. No reccomendations, but make it uptempo, and project!
They sit almost on the top row of the theatre.
The other advice I can give you, is they seem to be focusing more on dance lately. If you have an amazing voice, but little dance skill, you won't get it. Good luck!
