How does this play differ from Cabaret? How is it similar? Just any information on it and how it relates to Cabaret would be good. Also, could the play be performed today without being considered dated?

The play is far from dated. its a very intense period piece.

I Am A Camera was used as the basis for the film plot of Cabaret directed by Bob Fosse.
