I don't know if this would work in terms of bars, but I'm thinking the whole song starting from the line "I mean, the air is French..." I dunno, just my two cents.

Try starting at "Pardon me" and going to the end. That's what my friend did.

What I do:
Step 1: Find the highest note.
Step 2: Find the lowest note.
Step 3: Find the best cutting that includes both notes (or something close) in 16 bars.
Also try to keep someone of the story line/emotional core of the song.
When I first saw the title of this post, I thought you were asking if the song had been cut from the show!
